Meet Dr. Kevin Guze

As a board-certified periodontist, Dr. Kevin Guze is an expert in diagnosing, preventing, and treating gum disease. He also performs all aspects of periodontic surgery, including dental implants. Combining experience and the latest techniques and technology, he’s devoted to providing patients exceptional care and delivering reliable, safe, and long-lasting results.

Dr. Guze pursued his vocation by first earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia and completing a general practice residency at Vancouver General Hospital. He practiced in Vancouver for 12 years before hitting the books again at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He obtained a certification in periodontology and a Doctor of Medical Science degree. Dr. Guze also completed his Master’s degree in therapeutic research at Oxford University.

As a lifelong learner with a passion for what he does, Dr. Guze is also an instructor in the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection & Immunity at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In 2009, he received the prestigious Goldhaber Research Prize. He conducts clinical trials to move inventions from the lab to the patient. In addition, he’s a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology, a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists. He lectures nationally and internationally. At home, Dr. Guze enjoys playing hockey and tennis, going for hikes, and savoring quality time with his wife and four kids.

Meet Dr. Monica Liang

Born and raised in Connecticut, Dr. Monica Liang earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine in Hawthorne, NY, in 2021 and continues to focus on continuing education to upgrade her skills. She recently joined the Athol Family Dentists team last year and looks forward to a long and productive career at our practice.

Meet Dr. Leonard Strauss

With over 34 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Leonard Strauss has built a career dedicated to trusted patient care and lifelong learning. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed an Advanced Specialty Education in Periodontics at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Florida native Dr. Adrian Gonzalez earned his DMD at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. With his passion for furthering his education and commitment to studying advanced technology, Dr. Gonzalez is an excellent resource for your dental care questions.

Deanna

Practice Manager

An integral part of our team, Deanna oversees our day-to-day operations and has been in the dentistry field for more than two decades. With her “no judgment” healthcare approach, she does everything she can to put patients at ease while helping them understand the cruciality of diligent oral hygiene practices.

Outside the office, Deanna enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan, their two daughters, Brielle and Brooke, and her friends. She has one dog, two cats, and
here’s a fun fact: She started her career with Athol Family Dentists and is so thankful to be back!

Bonnie

Dental Assistant

Bonnie loves dentistry and helping people. An important part of our team for three years, she has 25 years of experience in the dentistry field and is devoted to helping patients understand the impact careful, diligent, lifelong oral hygiene habits can have on their overall well-being. She’s thrilled to be part of our supportive, caring team!

Away from the practice, Bonnie loves spending time with family and friends. It’s her dream to one day raise goats and bees, and grow a thriving field of lavender!

When she’s not caring for smiles, Kaylee loves spending time with her husband, Evan, and their children, Charlie and Eleni. They enjoy camping trips, playing sports, and traveling together!
